90 Days of Distance Reiki for World Peace
I recently and spontaneously decided to do ninety days of distance Reiki for world peace. This means that I simply took time every day to focus on Reiki for world peace. This included creating and sharing a peace themed Instagram story daily.
I sent Reiki to whatever parts of the world came into my awareness. Similar to sending positive and loving vibes into the world like meditation or prayer. Distance Reiki is the learned skill that I used to do this.
There seemed to be three main recurring themes that dominated these ninety days, which were love, connection and responsibility.
Interestingly, these themes also showed up in my daily life. Arriving in simple and surprising ways, not just while I was sending distant Reiki.
I have a hunch that many of us are becoming more aware of these in our lives. I believe embracing them will promote world peace.
Below is a short description of how each one showed up for me. As we notice and embrace these attributes into our lives (for ourselves) world peace thrives.
Living unaligned from love, connection and responsibility is the only time disharmony dominates.
Love (Mother/Divine Feminine Energy)
Often, during the distance Reiki sessions I saw a small child. The child was wearing only a white cloth or diaper and was about 2-3 years old. The child was standing surrounded by destruction, war, grey, rumble as though the last life standing. When the child turned towards me tears were pouring out of eyes wide and glassed over in fear. I could feel this child in my heart space (chakra). I often felt tears pour down my face at this point.
One day I saw myself there beside the child. I bent down and I picked up the child. Hugging it tightly I hummed a lullaby that seemed to come from some ancient time. We remained there like this as everything around us faded until calm prevailed.
Later on, at this point, I began to walk with the child in my arms. We walked over fallen, breathless humans and animals, amongst gnarled rumble and unearthly smells. We just simply walked away from it all into peace.
This is a profound experience and example of divine feminine energy- love.
I began seeing the sacredness of being a Mother to my daughter. I became more aware of where I was detaching from her. Often this was when I was in a rush or had work to do.
I noted times when I might be more apt to not listen to her fully or ignore her all together! Noticing this made me more available to stop and listen to her. To play with her.
You do not need to be a woman or mother to identify with this image of the child I saw. A man with strong arms could just as easily pick up this child. Or, in real life truly listen to his wife or partner. Truly, see her. Notice the preciousness of relationships and connection over workload.
Noticing our connections to all humanity starts here.
Connection
Holding this child in my arms made me very aware of how we are all deeply and cosmically connected. During the experience, it was clear that I was the child in my arms and the child was also me. We were one and the same as we walked away from war and destruction into peace.
I remember at one point expressing dismay about the inaction of governments. There were huge protests taking place around the world all calling for peace. I said something along the lines of, What’s the point. No one is listening, to one of my wise friends.
Then she quickly said, So we can tell our children and grandchildren that we tried to bring peace.
I realized instantly that I wanted to be able to look my daughter in the eyes. To tell her that we tried to stop the massacre of many innocent children. We did all we could to stand up for our connection and love for our fellow humans.
After this I asked my daughter to help me to do the daily Instagram peace stories. Consequently, she began reminding me before her bedtime that we needed to create the daily peace story.
I openly spoke to her about why we were doing this. She became so aware and had no hesitation to see the importance of this. She is six years old. Let us all connect in as easily as she did to help humans she has never met!
As an American, I know how easy it can be to not truly connect into the rest of the world. Often, even during war, natural disaster, famine and genocide. We have our lives and families to support right there in America. America can seem far away from the rest of the world.
It is imperative that we stop and see that we are (connected to) those other humans seemingly far away.
Any moment we fall into the energy of us and them. That a war somewhere else in the world has nothing to do with me. These are signs to connect into humanity.
See suffering human faces on our own child, family members and friends. As your own face! In fact, from that moment onwards you can not help, but gasp at the utter oneness we all share.
Start with one small connection a day and it will spread. It will bring you a more authentic awareness of our interconnectedness. And, as you feel this connection more intensely, taking the responsibility to love and connect with others naturally follows.
Responsibility
Furthermore, during these ninety days I found myself taking on responsibility that I once saw as stressful or scary. I began to see responsibility in a new way.
Responsibility I once easily let myself see as someone else’s “job”, or just not important enough or “impossible”, I began to be able to take on.
I saw how impactful and enriching more responsibility is. I now see responsibility brings more joy, care for children, a nicer place to live in, better self care, etc. This all spreads positively out into the world.
One example of seeing responsibility differently, is my Reiki studio. At the time, I knew I was taking on more responsibility when I opened a Reiki studio. However, I failed to see the importance or enrichment it brings to my life and my clients until I did ninety days of Reiki for World Peace.
Before, I easily fell into financial fear, thinking that life would be easier without the studio rent costs. Totally, overlooking the immense training I get with every client and the healing we both receive.
Having a Reiki studio elevates my values and standards. It provides possibilities for the life I want.
As responsibility came more easily, I began fixing things in my apartment by myself. Or, calling an expert to do it immediately. I no longer waited the landlord to do it. When something needs care and cleaning I do it without hesitation.
Metaphorically, this is the beginning of not waiting to pick up that child. Holding the child in my loving and protective arms more readily. Such an easy next step!
This aligning with a more obscure responsibility that comes from moving from the victimhood to the survivor or I am a powerful mentality.
A profound, yet, easily over looked, example of this happened last month while we were on vacation.
My daughter asked her grandmother who was doing some dishes in the kitchen,
Grandma, why do you do all the work? Grandpa doesn’t do all that stuff.
Without skipping a beat, her Grandma said in a kind, strong and thankful tone,
Because I don’t need him to do it.
I was profoundly struck by this powerful statement.
I had begun to smile as I heard my daughter ask this question because from my limited perspective I too wondered the same thing.
Relationships are a true call to responsibility and connection. You may have many views about this scenario. Please, do not miss Grandma owning her power and strength here! Grandma honoring love and connection over chores or the mirage of who is responsible for what.
In addition, if you are a man reading this, Grandpa, through his masculine love he has made us feel safe, protected and supported! Likewise, a far more important responsibility than who does what chore or who does more! And, Grandma’s response mirrors this reality.
When we ourselves and then on up to governments begin to take on this kind of “grandparent’s” responsibility. A responsibility that is rooted in connection and brimming with love, image the world peace we would experience!
In conclusion
The fact is, when we see our own true power and what we can accomplish in this lifetime, then we can take on infinite amounts of responsibility!
From this perspective, we are able to take on the responsibility of standing up for world peace. In order to, save children, feed the world, protect the animals, sustain Mother Earth while, at the same time, raise our families, work and have a fulfilling life.
Importantly, to provide this love and connection for ourselves, then for others, is our ultimate responsibility.
Peace! Pace!

The original World Peace Grid is in the main Buddhist temple located on Mt. Kurama where Mikao Usui is suspected to have received his Reiki healing abilities.
Reiki and World Peace History
Before beginning this ninety days of world peace I re-listened to the World Peace ignition from my Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® Master Class in Kyoto, Japan this past November. William Lee Rand, the founder of the International Center for Reiki training, has done immense work for world peace through Reiki. You can read more about some of his efforts here.
